Top Photographers of the Week – THEN & NOW

Last week’s Top Photographers of the Week Contest has come to an end, this means we have winners to announce and also this week’s theme to reveal!

Last week’s contest theme was ‘Then & Now. So without further ado, here are our top winners (in no particular order):

Kelly Kirby Photography
“Then and now! My first child couture session in 2014 and 2020. Growth as a photographer comes in baby steps that you might not even notice until you look back on how far you’ve come.”

Through the Looking Glass Studio
“Aug 2017-Dec 2019”

Amber Damour Photography
“Ooooohhhh my. How my work has grown in three years! 2016 to 2019.”

Evelina Eve Photography
“The image on the left is one of the first ones I posted when I started to photograph portraits in 2014 and versus one of the most recent works of mine.”

Nicole Johnson Photography
“2017/2020”

Munchkins – photo art By Alex Bitton

Barbara Rusciano Photography
“I’m not ashamed to post this. Quite the opposite. I’m proud of my progress. I started in 2011 with nothing but a new digital camera set in manual and a book about exposure. Every bad picture I took was one step closer to where I am today. I’m sure I’ll look back at my work from today, 5, 10 years from now and I will still be proud of my progress because we are always learning and refining our skills. So put yourself out there and don’t be afraid to fail. If you don’t try, you won’t succeed!”
Shona Dickson Photography
“Then 2013 now well 2019.”

Michelle Zumbach Photography
“2016 ? vs Two days ago. ❤️”

To the Moon and Back Newborn Imagery
“2014 vs 2019.”

Stephanie Ratto Photography
“2012 vs 2019. ? How about that large and in charge watermark??At least I have always known that Maternity was my calling.”

Gina Marie Photography
“Boy have the last 2 years been a whirlwind! Crazy to see the change in my craft since then. I owe so much of this to my summerana membership! The things I’ve learned have truly changed how I shoot and edit! Picture on the left was one of the very first images I ever posted on my photography page”

Sara Hunt Photography
“2011 (when I first picked up a camera) to 2019! So much has changed over the years!”

Gidde Yup Images
“The one on the left was the first session I ever had with children outdoors in 2014 and the one on the right is from the last session I did in 2019. I have had to take a little break from photography but a #thenandnow is a good motivator to keep at it, and to keep growing.”

Jenn Carroll Photography
“My very first newborn shoot (my son, 8 years ago) to one of my favorites.

Deborah Koch Photography
“SAME girl and SAME location but five years or constant learning and improving my craft.”

Lori Lesh Photography
“6 years difference ~ Newborn photography has always been something I love & longed to do. Not sure what was even happening in the first picture lol but v e r y happy to see the growth in my journey. ❤️”

Mil’Clics Photographe
“2015 -> 2019”

Bella Rose Photography
“I’m proud of how far I’ve come with passion and perseverance. Still early on in my journey but I am loving my journey and all the things I have learned so far. It is possible!
2018 / 2019”

Carol C Photography
“My growth, specially when it comes to newborn photography has been too slow. The first model call I did in 2012 (he was actually 6 months old but I didn’t really know he was not a newborn hahaha) and then there is the latest newborn I have done starting this year. I still have so much to grow but I feel a lot better now about my work! It has been a journey that I have enjoyed and I hope to keep growing so much more. Thanks for this community which is very encouraging and all the resources we have available here”

Merisa LePage Photography
“I’m definitely not where I want to be but I am grateful for how far I’ve come.  About 3 years difference.”

Victoria Jane Photography
“I’ve been really enjoying looking at all of the then & now images, its so inspiring. I’m predominantly a wedding & corporate photographer & I remember how super nervous I was when I first started photographing my own full paid weddings on my own (back in around 2007) ! I was as nervous and passionate then … as I still am today … I think the day that Im not & the day that I get complacent is the day I will stop. Even though I feel I have had a massive learning curve & journey & have developed so much I still feel I’m learning all the time, and want to continue to develop new techniques & grow! … seeing other photographers inspirational work & seeing whether you can adapt ideas & techniques into your own style. I don’t want to say that I feel my work back then was inadequate or substandard… because back when I started in 2007 I threw my all in to my work & my clients got a 110% of me & they loved what I produced for them. My clients still get 110% of me today, I just feel I have grown & therefore my 110% is just more polished, refined & me. ♥️”
